Re: TV7 Refresh
Remove Dustbowl, that's all I really care about.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Re: TV7 Refresh
While I think it's important to have 5cp maps on TV7 and would also like to seed DoubleCross added back into the rotation, the fact remains that nearly all payload and attack/defend maps do better than any of the 5cp maps.
As such, I don't think we should be increasing the number of 5cp maps or adding a CTF map without removing a 5cp map.
My vote is to remove snakewater and add either freight OR doublecross, but not both. If we want to add both, we would have to remove another 5cp map as well, perhaps process.

Re: TV7 Refresh
I agree snakewater should be removed in lieu of another map. I would also consider removing Process. I like both maps, but the reality is both tend to chase people off as the games are always critically unbalanced in favor of one team. 3-0 wins in 10 minutes is the norm. A lot of people complain/ragequit when those maps come up. I would be for replacements such as doublecross, foundry, Well, any ctf. A change of pace in maps and styles could help the server stay alive for more than a couple hours.black_and_blue wrote:While I think it's important to have 5cp maps on TV7 and would also like to seed DoubleCross added back into the rotation, the fact remains that nearly all payload and attack/defend maps do better than any of the 5cp maps.

Re: TV7 Refresh
We replaced cp_snakewater_final1 with ctf_doublecross.
Re: TV7 Refresh
at this point i'm just lookin for any kind of change that may spark a fire in tv7. the september activity graph for tv7 makes me sad. i think there are many tv7 regs don't visit forum, and opt to join tv6. summer ending and school starting has also probably contributed to lower attendance. in the past, when there was a map change, some folks complained, but after a while new maps would fill regardless, i.e. snakewater. i think some map change won't make tv7 attendance any worse.
