Finally bought L4D
I worked some OT last week...
decided to treat myself, it's DLing right now.
Now I can accept your invites! lol
Help me out, and take it easy on me. I haven't played it since the free beta....

Awesome!
We'll TVB stack against you. That should even things out.

do yourself a favor and beat all the campaigns on advanced with friends or bots, don't play on normal or easy, it'll give you bad habits and make advanced, experts, and vs impossible for you, just beat all the campaigns a few times, learn the maps, do some experts, you'll get decent real quick

not calling out when you're hunter, smoked, boomed. also, putting blinders on when you see a smoker and crouching there and trying to shoot it while your team advances
So...
what's the #1 new player mistake?
1) Wandering too far away from your team, either leading or trailing
2) Slowing down too often and not advancing forward as soon as reasonably possible
What he said
Hey It was late or I would have played with you last night B33r
We will have to play some Dead air and Toll on advanced or Expert I need a group of friends to do expert as the Dummies out there get me killed too much
OH one other thing to add to the list is Jumping or walking in front of some one all ready shooting at a Target and taking friendly fire or not watching the targets and causing Friendly fire by shooting your team mate.
Oh yea and being close to some one being hunted and trying to shoot the hunter off and not meelaying it off and causing more damage that had you meelayed
Watch for me Beer I will be playing L4D soon well get a game up and going.

if you are just moving from A to B, try and stay in the middle of the path, as it makes shooting horde/hunter/smoker off of you much easier.
dont, i repeat DON'T go hunting for a hurt smoker or hunter unless your team knows and will wait. i have incapped and ultimately made teams lose because a player decides to come by himself after the smoker.
get to know the levels well (Both in versus and in Campaign, as some have helpful tricks in each game mode) , if you haven't played a map, it will be a huge disadvantage
Avoid the witch if possible, and try to avoid shooting boomers. it may seem like they are far away, but sometimes the bile can go really far
Just attack with your team, both a survivors and infected.

Re: Finally bought L4D
Getting too far away from your team is the biggest mistake.
Out of sight = too far away to help quickly. More than 10 feet usually means that too.
Attacking survivors on your own. Wait for a few other zombies to provide a reasonable distraction or set up an ambush. Going straight in doesnt do much and will just get you killed.

See, that was a trick question. Experience players make those same mistakes as well
