We've set up a gold farm in the overnether near -439, 142 if anyone wants to use.. just climb up to the top and throw a snowball (provided in a chest) at a zombie to start it. Then stand on the torch and collect xp. I'd also recommend lowering your volume or at least mob sounds..

Question, I am interested in playing with the new blocks in 1.21, specifically the crafter. I have found (thanks to Hermitcraft) a datapack we can add to the server that will allow us to turn on those blocks without generating any of the structures from 1.21. This is compatible with our current world generation.

I've tested the procedures and it does work, enabling it is a tad involved for Flash (sorry).

The data pack is here: no-trial-chambers-1.2.zip

The level.dat of the server needs to be updated with an NBT Editor to enable the features. Here is a link to the walkthrough instructions. I've done this on a couple of servers and it does work, and I haven't had any issues. Instead of minecraft:update_1_20, i used minecraft:update_1_21

Instructions

Once the line is edited to level.dat it should look like this:

Thank you for the time you've invested to make our server the best there is out there.

There is a new pre-release build of BlueMap I'm gonna try to setup Sunday.

https://github.com/BlueMap-Minecraft/Bl ... s/tag/v4.0

It will require me to delete the map in order to build the new version, so the map will be offline at some point Sunday evening until Monday morning.

So far the farms we have and have loads of resources to share:
Iron
Ocean Monument
Bonemeal
Moss
Tree (not mangrove though ick)
Raid (Emeralds)
Sniffer (sniffer specific flower seeds/eggs)
Librarians (all the enchants)
other villagers to an extent but less prolific so diamond gear/tools/golden carrots/quartz/etc
eta: slime but not automated yet

our overnether/nethertop portal is at: -318, -66

and as always, always willing to help as needed

You all have been busy! (And a gold farm too!) Thanks, I will check them out.

I'm going to update BlueMap again this evening. So the map will be offline for a bit until it rebuilds.

Is there something on the server that affects player items upon death? My daughter has died twice now and both times returned to where she died and could not find her items. She was well within the item de-spawn time and is now extremely discouraged from playing further.

There shouldn't be. The only thing different from vanilla is the addition of some data packs.

Let me try to test it. Has anyone else seen something like this?

I tested just now and it worked as expected.

I loaded my inventory up with junk, jumped off a cliff near my house, started a timer on respawn and then watched my stuff until it disappeared after 4 minutes 53 seconds.

She tested it as well after the fact and was able to retrieve her junk items. Both times this happened, the items just disappeared. I walked through all troubleshooting steps with her and she was well within the item de-spawn time. It's not the end of the world but she's very wary now and discouraged.

Just wondering if there are any known bugs with the data packs.

Xzeryn what do you think?

TTHREAZ I'm happy to replace any items if she wants.

Appreciate the offer but she didn't lose anything too crazy. She's understandably nervous now, though. To be honest, so am I.

Just to double the evidence, I repeated Flash's experiment. Yep, items stayed on the ground where I died and 5 minutes later they disappeared.

I don't know how or where she died. As you know some mobs can run off with stuff, lava & fire can consume stuff, creepers can explode stuff, hoppers can collect stuff, and stuff can be flung off down a cliff, etc. Of course Minecraft has occasionally known to be glitchy and just do things no one can expect. I guess we could caulk it up to Herobrine antics (https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Herobrine), but apparently the server in general is doing what it's supposed to.

If you'd like I can meet ya'll on the server and replace any losses.
