I dragged the little orange guy and actually brought me to some real landscaping...like real google maps.
I still can't find where my house is.

Does this re-render every so often?
I'm not sure which script you ended up using, but a few of them have a "noise" option which makes it look more "realistic" (and less like the game). I personally don't prefer it, and the couple renders I did of my (tiny) 1P map were noticeably sped up when it was disabled. The images are almost guaranteed to compress better as well, so should take up less space.
