Re: The Ville Gone Wild
It only takes me like 10-15 minutes to do a reset. I just need to know when y'all want it to happen.
If there is a particular map seed that, for example, has a large spawn area for building or something just let me know what it is ahead of time.

Re: The Ville Gone Wild
We cycled thru a few and liked seed:
-494460667990824802
It seemed to have a decent variety of biomes, water access, and such. Not sure what anyone is looking for specifically
And we're ready whenever works for Ladeee's crew
edit to add: request if maybe we could add a mod for voice chat in game? mod is called Simple Voice Chat
also maybe Hard difficulty? mainly want it to make converting villagers easier (they will all convert and not die)
and while on the request train: I was curious if we would be open to the idea of adding a couple of the vanilla tweaks datapacks like Armor Statues, Player Head Drops, More Mob Heads and Wandering Trades. It would add to the vanilla decorating experience without altering the vanilla mechanics
and since map never really worked right, we found BlueMap to be pretty good if that helps any

Re: The Ville Gone Wild
OK thanks, keep me posted on a date.
Simple Voice Chat might be an issue since it requires our host to open additional ports on the server that aren't standard. Is there a reason the our Discord server which has a Minecraft voice channel already isn't sufficient?
We can set whatever difficulty level y'all want.
Datapacks look pretty simple to add, just drop them in a folder on the server, right?
Thanks for suggesting BlueMap, I saw y'all mention it before and already have it bookmarked to look it.

Re: The Ville Gone Wild
I guess the main reason for us is our kids. It lets them chat with only people nearby in game or in an in-game group. This can save the ears of people who hop on the channel. It also prevents us from putting discord on their laptops. Beyond personal reasons, it provides proximity and private voice chat for only those logged into the server.
Yes, you drop them in the datapacks folder within the world folder and restart the server, then they apply.
And for future consideration, there is a mod called geyser (Xisuma showcased it once) that you can put on a java server (requires a port) that will open the server to bedrock clients. I've played with it privately and its pretty neat, it provides a pure vanilla experience.

Very valid reason. Let me see if our host will support it.Xzeryn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 9:46 amI guess the main reason for us is our kids. Ah simple, that shouldn't be a problem at all.
I ran a Geyser server at home before in the proxy configuration. I'm seeing now they have a direct plugin as well. I think the Bedrock clients still need a paid Mojang account though, simply owning Bedrock (iPad, iPhone, etc.) isn't enough to connect to a Java server the last time I played with it.Xzeryn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 9:46 amAnd for future consideration, there is a mod called geyser (Xisuma showcased it once) that you can put on a java server (requires a port) that will open the server to bedrock clients. As long as y'all are cool with an immediate reset and the above requests getting added later I can do this tomorrow.
Somebody giving me direct downloads to those requested data packs will let me add them at the same time, but the plugins will need to wait.

Yes, they have to have a valid account.Flash wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:10 pmI ran a Geyser server at home before in the proxy configuration. I'm seeing now they have a direct plugin as well. Due to the nature of the way vanillatweaks.net is set up I can't give you direct download links, you select the files you want and it gives you all of them in a .zip file
The link to the datapacks below is https://vanillatweaks.net/share#KPPMpB
The download should contain all 9 datapacks within it, put the 9 zips in the datapacks folder.
Datapack URL: https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/datapacks/
