FIRE!
Re: FIRE!
Yeah there was a grid of fences above the tree farm that must've caught some lightning perhaps?

Re: FIRE!
Alizee had the same thing happen in his large storage facility. It was really strange because the inside of the building burned...but the roof was intact.

Re: FIRE!
I'm getting concerned if folks are finding structures burned out lately. . . it's really hard for lightning to burn down a big structure because normally rain puts it out.
From what I understand, basically someone needs to cause the chunk to unload in that short time from the strike starting the fire before the rain extinguishes it. Then if it loads next while not raining, the fire spreads.
It can happen, but how likely is it to happen to a major project at spawn without someone seeing it as well as at AF's (where almost all of it was under inflammable roof IIRC)?

Re: FIRE!
These are indeed very strange. It's odd that one at spawn could burn unnoticed - right out in the open next to the portal and all, and as Plinko says, it takes a certain amount of coincidence for an outdoor fire to get going in the first place. Mine was also odd because while it was indoors, where rain wouldn't hit it, it was indoors, where lightning couldn't hit either (unless lightning has been changed to go through solid structures now). Burned out around 450 blocks all told, from 3 stories.
