Resource Pack?
Do you use a resource pack or just use default?
(Driving me to resource packs: better glass, easier to read signs, the sense of something different a re-skin can give.)
Thanks for your input!

Re: Resource Pack?
I think xorvious has used a few. I kept meaning to try one he mentioned called faithful IIRC. Meant to be the same style as the default but with a higher detail.

Re: Resource Pack?
Strictly default, here. I feel like I lose touch with the game if I can't see what's "supposed" to be there. I want to know what others see when they look at my work, and as most people don't mod (and there wouldn't be any consistency if they did), that means I stick with the basics.
Also, since I do like to challenge myself to construct things that look like real buildings, I feel like it would be pointless to use a pack that I can alter to show whatever I want. For me, the challenge is using what's provided to do something cool - not to do something random and then paint over it.

Re: Resource Pack?
I use faithful and love it. It's very close to default, just some of the lines are smoothed out.

I use my own custom one. It is completely default except I removed the "glare" marks in the middle of glass panes and when wearing a pumpkin it just outlines the screen in orange.

Re: Resource Pack?
Wow, thanks to all of you for the inputs. They were just what I needed to hear. I am pretty much in the Alizee camp but am willing to make an exception for glass and pumpkin heads. So, following Flash's example I went ahead and made a custom resource pack. Fully default except for glass and pumpkin head. Should you want to try it out I've uploaded it to dropbox: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/917 ... rGlass.zip
Although many resource pack use the zip format, you'll need to unzip this one and put the "ClearGlass" folder inside your "resoucepacks" folder.
If you just want the small png files to use:
Glass: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91767603/glass.png
Pumpkinhead: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/917 ... inblur.png
Thanks again!
