My computer is Vista ready but I'm couldn't be bothered installing RC-whatever on a new partition...to delete it later!

BTW, Valve keep saying that they won't support Vista users for a while....:(

I can't use Vista. I have the hardware, but way too many of my programs will not work right with it. This includes PCDJ wich I need when I work

I have Vista loaded on my home machine and Steam runs on it just fine. No problems thus far.

I'm trying Vista, but couldn't use STEAM with it. apparently I didn't have DirectX on it, even though it's supposed to come with DX10...

I ran Steam on Vista just fine. Make sure you right click and choose 'Run as Administrator.'

How would running as admin have anything to do with DirectX?

Because it is a Microsoft program. Any other questions?

I had no directx problems with steam.

I did have a punkbuster problem with BF 2142, problem was solved when I ran the exe as admin.

Also, my ping has more than doubled and I seem to be getting alot more choke, anyone know what might be causing my ping to jump so much?

I have Vista RC1 on my system right now.

The user security is annoying, but otherwise it's usable.

I think you can disable the security checks. I don't remember where, but it's somewhere in the control panel.

'nuff said. I think I'm going to wait a while for Vista. I'm sure my rig can handle it, I'm just not ready for it quite yet.

Yeah... I was sure I turned it off (It's in user accounts), but for some reason it's on. Oh well, turning it off again.
