(Some background)
So I own a Tritton Kunai headset,. it's not the best nor the worst. It's been working pretty well since I got it, about 8 or 9 months ago, little problems here and there but nothing too bad.
Now, when I try to use it, it's output (what people hear) is a large amount of static, with my voice very very quiet underneath. I've checked all my volumes and mic boosts and the like and it's all turned up. i have it set as the default device and such too.
The Weird part: When I click my tongue or blow really hard into it, i can see it register in audio devices. Though when I try and speak, it doesn't register.
I have realtek audio installed.
I check how it's plugged in and nothing has changed.
I've exhausted my googling info.
If you need any more info, just ask.
Mic Trouble.

My first thought: Do you have another computer you can plug it into and test it there? Rule out whether you have a MIC or a computer problem.

I can try it on another computer. I plugged in my old headset, it's a little old, but still works last time i checked. It doesn't pick up voice and the such too.Flash wrote:My first thought: Do you have another computer you can plug it into and test it there? Rule out whether you have a MIC or a computer problem.

Re: Mic Trouble.
Update: Plugged my mic into a different PC, works like a charm.
I opened up my own computer case to see if something got yanked out, but everything looks fine.
Is there some program that overrides my systems settings or something?

I'd try to uninstall the mfg drivers and use default windows. Test. Reinstall latest drivers, test.
