No Medic Beam

So Viva has been trying out the Medic. She can not see the Medic heal beam.

Anyone else get that?

When I saw this at first I thought it was everyone teaming up not to help me.

That sommeettimeesssss happens to me. Not as often as when I had my graphic settings on low, but still sometimes happens from time to time.

Ya know what else happens to me?

My HUD get's backwards. I'll be on red, but all my HUD stuff will be blue, and if someone ubers me I glow blue instead of red.


I have to restart the game to get it to reset.

It happens to be all the time, probably because I play on the lowest settings. It makes it really hard to see who you're healing in traffic but I've gotten used to it.

So - What type of rigs are you guys playing on that you are playing on Low setting ? I find medium to normally be the sweet spot for FPS vs Quality....

On lowest settings I get around 30 FPS.

I have the bad HUD glitch happen to me a lot recently. When I'm dead it works properly tho.
It was amusing, because I didnt realize it was happening right away then I got ubered and was baffled how an enemy medic managed to uber me.. or why he would want to.

I sat down at Viva's comp today and discovered she can not see the following;

- No medic beams (friendy or enemy)
- Cloaked spies on fire (still invisible, no flame)
- "Critical Hit" text is absent above players she's hitting

I tried lowering her vid options, no change, she generally runs them very high. I've never had this prob on my comp. She runs Vista. . anyone else running Vista getting this?
