Borderlands 2 error

So I finally decided to try and start up Borderlands 2 cause of these key things you talked about, and it just stops working on me. If I could give more details, I would; but that's all I get. Says its launching, then goes into the Windows error window. Only thing I can think of is this computer can't handle it, but wouldn't it tell me that to begin with?

Over on the gearbox support forums there seems to be quite a few people posting about the game failing to launch, restarting the pc or throwing up a error. I dug around a little but really didn't see a definitive fix for most of the error posts.

I think the same thing happened to me with Space Marines, and i think its something about your computer not being able to handle it.

Whatever the problem is, its computer linked. Started up BL2 on my older, crappier laptop and it started up just fine.

One thing I have noticed with most newer games is the "dx" setting. Most newer games try to run dx11 and not dx9. I know I had this issue with Dirt 2/3 and L.A. Noire. Maybe that is the problem? Check into that. If not.. good luck googling for an answer!

Check the compatability/permissions and see if running it as an administrator helps...seems like that's a default fix. Alternatively, there is always verifying game cache/deleting and re-downloading.

BL2 is dx9 only so that should narrow something down

Until I bother checking, I'm pinning the problem on Administrator Rights. I would think that doesn't matter anymore but its happened before...
