So I'm going to be needing a new electric razor soon. Mine is dying. I haven't looked at electric razors for ~5 years. Does anyone have any advice?

Due to the cost of replacement blades for the top dogs in the buisness, I am considering one of these

But as for electrics go. Do you perfer foil head or rotary head. Either way here ya go

I've never gotten a decent shave with the electric I used to use, so I went back to blades.
OTOH I love my electric beard trimmer.

I have never been a fan of electric razors. I have always gotten razor burn from eletric razors.

I strongly prefer blades. Now that I've shaved off my beard (for now), I'm back to shaving every day with them. I hate electrics.
When I had my beard I used a Norelco trimmer regularly and will do so again in the likely event I grow it back.

I'm keeping a van dyke/moutee, so I just really have to do my cheekbones and neck. The hard-to-shave moustache is being left alone, but kept trimmed.

/probably need a beard trimmer as well, or an electric razor with a trimmer attached.

I used to use electric razors but they kept giving me a rash.

So I've been using blades for the past 25 years.
And I still use my original razor (Gillette Atra Plus) - none of them high falutin razors with their 55 blades....
Does the job.
:D

I generally shave with a machete, while staring intently into the mirror while flexing my biceps.

On a serious note, have you given any thought to a quality straight razor? They are fantastic.

I'm not very graceful. I cut myself with a mach 3 sometimes. Straight razors are right out.
