TV11 - Synergy
TheVille.Org XI is now running Synergy!
For those that don't know, Synergy is a free HL2 mod that allows players to play HL2 as well as custom campaigns cooperatively online. Think of is as a Half-Life 2 version if Sven Co-op, or Left4Dead if you aren't familiar with Sven. There are also many different types of game play that Synergy supports, from fishing to elaborate puzzles.
Check it out today!
Click here to install Synergy on Steam!
(requires at least HL2, and Episodes 1 & 2 are recommended to play many maps)

Now someone explain the fishing!
:d
1. Pick rod up out of water and set down on ground.
2. Place watermelon on hook of rod.
3. While still holding onto the rod, place baited hook into water.
4. Bob the hook up and down until you see the green from the watermelon disappear suddenly.
5. Pull hook out of water. When "fish" is on land, let go of the rod.
6. If the object is a weapon, walk over it to pick it up. If it is a monster or prop, use the gravity gun to remove the hook from it, and it will come to life.
7. Go to step 2.

i tried it yesterday and it had about 6 to 8 ppl on it and oh man it lagged like 248 for me. had some graphical issues as well. when i used the grav gun to launch something the graphics all turned to squares large and small. the walls inside of structures disappeared. anyway, its was kinda cool hope the bugs get worked out soon!
Gator and I ( i was on an Australian server) had a very short fun time pwning vortegaunts and whatnot...
I felt a great feeling seeing someone from teh ville jump on a server near me.
The connection to Australian server didn't seem too bad either!
Do you remember what map were we playing? It seemed like a cool map but I couldn't stay on long, was it a stock map?
True....oh so true.
Also, I should add that within the next couple of weeks I'll be taking a look at some of the custom maps out there for Synergy. There are some interesting looking ones (Like the Hive from the Resident Evil movies!), and I'd be interested to try them with a group of people. Give me a shout if you want to help me out!
