Team Chivalry has made a follow up to their Age of Chivalry mod called Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. The game has been out for about three weeks now and I'm thinking of picking it up. The game is $25 and $75 for a four pack. I'm thinking of picking up a four pack with Masakari so I'm wondering if there would be any interest in this game to jump in to a pack. I know there's a villun or two who has this game so chime in with your thoughts if you would!

I had been thinking about getting this as well. I always did enjoy the old mod and miss the morning sessions we used to do.

I own this game. If you enjoy melee, this is the game. There are a few Chivalry vs War of the Roses vs some other knight game I can remember right now on you tube videos, you should watch them because WotR is probably superior graphically but not where it counts in combat. Melee mechanics in video games have always been rather random but this game does a good job of not having too many WTF's per minute. My only gripe is archery is not very accurate and maybe that is by design.

Also, it's pretty violent. When your head comes off, you still get the camera perspective from your head as it rolls on the ground. It also has 3rd person view. Death gurgle is satisfying.

After a few hours of this game I can safely say anyone who liked AoC will like this game. This game uses Unreal instead of Source now. The game looks pretty good and a lot of the skills from AoC translate well into this game. There's also less confusion on what to do on the objective maps thanks to better descriptions and waypoints.

They condensed the nine classes into four but each of the four classes has a lot of different weapons available to use including some to unlock. From what I can see just about any of the weapons from AoC are available in Chivalry in some form. I'll also echo what Spanish said about the melee mechanics in the game being pretty good.
