Just thought that ppl would like to know (in case they didn't already) anyone that has pre-ordered Left 4 Dead on Steam, they've made pre-loading available, so you don't have to wait for the download on release day.

That is all.

Too bad I had to buy it through Gamestop with a gift card. I most likely won't be here on the release date also :(!!! Rits is very sad.

Yay, I can't wait to play it. I wonder if we'll be able to extract the maps from the preload and play them with the demo...

Atleast you saved money. In the end you'll be happy. Paying extra for convenience (such as downloading rather than actually going out and buying it) is silly, and I feel ashamed when I piss away money like that.

How much bigger is the full than the demo?

Steam popped-up an "update news" window for me with the info. I've got it set for that: Settings > Interface tab > check box at the bottom that says "Notify me (with Steam instant messages) about additions or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases."

is there possibly a link around to start the preload so i dont have to waste time installing or downloading on tuesday?

I hate the idea of preloading simply because the majority of the files reside on my computer and yet I CAN'T USE THEM!!!!!
