How to block MOTD ads

I was annoyed by ingame MOTD ads much like everyone else so I went searching for a way to disable them. The easiest solution I found was to modify your Windows host file to disable the source sites.
How to modify your host file
Add the quoted area to your host file to disable the ad based websites.
How to modify your host file
- Select the Start key and locate Notepad.
- Right click on Notepad.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Browse to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc and open the hosts file.
- Make the needed changes, close Notepad. and save when prompted.
