L4D Launch Options

For some reason I can't launch L4DI quite and rebooted PC etc but for some reason I can't Launch L4D.

It starts to launch then ends or Quites???

What was this For and Do I still need it???

-console -novid +mat_queue_mode 0

With that New Video card I have Video Adapter???

Get rid of +mat_queue_mode 0 and see if it launches. You can also try adding -autoconfig and launching once to reset your video options since you have a new card. Just make sure to remove it after, or it will reset every time you launch.

It's also possible for a bad addon campaign to prevent the game from launching. So if you installed any VPK's since it last worked, try removing those from your Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\addons directory.

OK well I tried it with out and the video played and stuff then I quite

yes I suspected that its was a Map that I added

yep that was it I removed the last map I put in that was VPK


OK now to the other thing again

this { -console -novid +mat_queue_mode 0 }

I know this removes that Long drawn out Video at the start of L4D but doe it effect any thing else like the graphic renderings science I have the new Video card

-novid removes the video. The other two options aren't really necessary.
