L4D Custom Campaign - I hate mountains

I know this was mentioned in the screenshot thread, but figure I'd break it out to its own thread.

For fans of the original L4D, this is a pretty high quality custom campaign with 5 levels and several paths to run through. It's a little more setup involved (mostly having to rebuild the sound cache) since they use additional environmental sounds to make the campaign feel more immersive.

MMX and I played it last weekend, and it was pretty fun to go through.

For a technically challenged person like me, it took a while to understand how to download specific add-ons with you and MMX's help.
Thanks for letting me play with you guys even if my sister knocked me off the computer before I could make the final round. <.<

I played through it over the weekend. It's definitely well made. They use the darkness to their advantage.

A word of advice, though. You see that log in the path on the first map? You know the one, it looks like "\". Yeah, that one. Don't try to walk under it.

I actually got stuck near the fence in the, uh, helicopter rescue portion, too.

I haven't had the opportunity to make it all the way through the campaign, but I like it! Mortis put me onto this map and it's a winner. It was fairly straightforward to install, so I had it up and running only a few minutes after the download was complete. Just had to extract the file to the right folder!

Looking forward playing it again soon and getting to (and through) the finale!

(BTW... I got stuck next to the helicopter fence too...)

I'd love to play this map with you guys. I played it with one friend and two pubbers and it was painful. One guy kept screaming into the mic about how scared he was and the other insisted on getting incapped a mile away from the other three survivors several times.

Also experienced the stuckness in the same spot but other than that, it was awesome!

Soooo much fun!

Just played through it with Mortis, Bashman and Kallous - had a total blast

Couple of quick points regarding getting stuck (behind cut):

VIEW CONTENT:

1) To avoid being stuck with the helicopter, try and jump over the tail section - go straight at it, not at an angle

2) There's a water tower on your right as you look towards the dock on the finale level (between the initiating building and the ammo building). I've seen a bot get stuck there, so it may be possible for a player to get stuck. Avoid it for the most part.
