Yeah, but I think the CSS server still gets more traffic than the DoDS server. I see one or two on there all the time and the other day I played a game with 4 or five people.

Unfortuanatly any tyoe of TF2 server would fill up any of our other mod servers

I'd rather it stay a seperate mod. Anything third party is cool, hell I could even set it up as a Fortress Forever server (even though that mod is pretty dead)

Or just leave as is, there is some regs that play, and I'm sure they play just because of the RPG aspect of it. I personally don't play it anymore and I highly doubt its in my future since TF2 really is my type of game.

Whatever the masses want is what I'll do, if there are regs that enjoy the CSS server still then I say let it stay, we have 5 TF2 servers to pick from, I don't really see the need.

Fortress Forever
HL2DM (there is Art Of Ascension that I used to host, its pretty cool to and only 3 total servers) http://aoa.planethalflife.gamespy.com/index.html

What about Insurgency? That mod was pretty good, but I'm not sure if it is popular any more. :?

Insurgency has about the same amount of players as servers.

http://steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=stats&cc=US

Empires is actually doing pretty good, know nothing about it.

FF is absolutely dead. 30 ppl playing with 126 servers.

AOA, Insurgency, Empires would be likely candidates IMO. (sven too but it has a short shelf life IMO)

Or just change/leave it as is on CSS.

It seems to me that CS doesnt add much to our community. From what I've gathered, almost no one from CS joins the forums, or if they do it is only to complain about something.

CS doesnt seem to be a very community-oriented game, like DoD or TF.

Just my 2 cents.

I hope charlie cleveland doesnt drop the ball again. NS lost a lot of its following when he said the website was going down for a weekend and it went down for a month.

I agree, other than the regs that have been here from the other mods.

NS2 would be great, when it comes out.
Seems like it's in closed testing for ppl who gave money to the cause.
So hope it will be out soon next year

*edit, they showed a demo for them about stuff that is in the game

Since not much action happens on the CSS server, I can run both CSS and AOA for now.

Give it a try, if you upgrade skills though you cant reset them until the next update release. (sometimes is quite a while) Its bound by name, not steamid, so you can do various setups if you want.

More info at the website of AOA
http://aoa.planethalflife.gamespy.com/index.html

Basically HL2DM with skills you can add.

AOA server is 66.178.161.133:27016

Here is the file you will need to play, goes in the same place as any other 3rd party mod.
