Definitely excited about this game. Dropped out of competitive CS 1.6 after CPL summer 2006, been playing Source casually since. Casual gaming ftw. If someone gets a +1 they'd send my way, great! Am sure I will get in sooooon enough either way :) Happy fragging.

New keys are given out every Friday by the way.

I'd take a +1 if someone ends up with one that nobody else wants. Literally, fulfill every request before mine.

Part of me hopes that CS:GO will be free to play so that everyone at the Ville can get in on it easily...

I'd love a +1, but not a big deal if I don't get. I am definitely looking forward to it though.

Thanks!

Where ya'll playing? I have yet to find a competitive (balanced) server without bots. The menu system is pretty crappy imo...I just want to find a good game!

Bots leave as players join and leave. And I'm pretty confident bots are always on as I've yet to find a server without them.
And pick "Community Servers" if you want a server list.

In CSS servers were able to to configure bot settings, though this is a beta I realize. Most community servers I either pinged 200+ or contained bots.

Anyone know how to mute players yet? Haven't really had to yet, but we had one chatty guy tonight that made me wonder how to if the need ever arises.

Looked through the game menus and looked online but couldn't find it.

It is still just a beta, might not have added that functionality yet.

Though I didn't have to use it, I believe the mute player key is defaulted to DEL. Says something about it on your scoreboard. I'm guessing the process is that you bring up your scoreboard, select the person's name, and hit the key.

Played some Classic Casual today - definitely feels like CS:S, but with more satisfying sound effects and a few more gun options. Some of the same wierdness with long-range accuracy (it doesn't exist) and damage (6 bullets to the face? 50% damage), but it has that fast and dirty feel that is so... Counter Strike. Definitely a game I'd like to see us host a server or two for when it goes live (if not before). I played on a server belonging to another community I recognize from TF2, and while the quality of play was there, the language/conduct was annoying.
