So I am wanting to go back through the Half Life series again.

I played the original back in {redacted} on my {redacted}, and it was a lot of fun.

I also purchased it for the Playstation 2 and played a good chunk of it before pining for my mouse/kb combo.

I played through HL2 and the subsequent episodes on the X360.

So I want to go back and play the original; is it better to get the original or go for the Source engine version? I've never seen or played HL:S, so feedback, please

I would go for source coz you have seen the potential of the original...

plus those chunks of gibs would have a new approach

Havent ever played HL:S so i really dont know but i would have to agree with mr_S

When we played Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, I played DP the whole time.

I played HL:S a little bit and it looked a lot like the original. I'd go with the original.

There are only a few things they upgraded with HL:S. It truly is a shame that the Black Mesa mod isn't near completion yet.
