Maybe they got tired.
Maybe they got fed up being shot all the time.
Maybe their union had something to say about it all.
They could have been on strike....you never know with bots...

Naw, I heard that they were recalled back to the front. Seems winter's coming
and they had to regroup and get their supply lines built back up for a big push.
With Sadam out of the way, the leadership had to send out a couple recon
missions, resulting in some interesting intel.
It seems that the insurgents are playing both sides and it's causing the locals to
fight amongst themselves. After the assassination of half the parliment on both
sides, the insurgents are beginning to start a civil war amongst the local clans.
Intel further shows a massive build-up along the front, with millions of mines
being laid along the borders.
I suspect the need for upgrading their armament as well as personal training
(requiring more AI coding) which will make them seem more invincible than
ever. This will most likely give them a feeling of superiority, resulting in mass
histeria when clashing with the real world players.
