Hud_deathnotice_issue 1

Post by Fidel Gastro » Fri Mar 11, 2011 8:44 am

He he this one has been teasing us for weeks now Dog,

It seems the notices do not go away after typing what gets displayed.
I was just enquiring as originally I thought I had lysdexia, sorry dyslexia,
but found that others have been suffering the same prob. :cry:

Thanks Dog

In console?

Anyway, in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\STEAMNAME\day of defeat source\dod\cfg

create a new file called autoexec.cfg

and add all the cvars you want, like that one.

Go into that folder (mentioned above)
Right click and create a text file and call it 'autoexec.cfg'
Open it and type 'hud_deathnotice_time 1'
Save it.

TBH it should work in console, but this method keeps the setting

the number relates to the display time on screen,
1 = 1 second
3 = 3 seconds

0 = 0 seconds, no message.

i have found if set to 0 you can't see you killed you.
