I was in Maine not long ago. I asked for vinegar on my chips and they looked at me like I was retarded. I love brit food. I only wish I had an accent like all of my relatives.

It is great on chips (ok fries), sausages, fish (and fish fingers) - oh some soaked into sausage rolls (ummm) and my favourite - on potato bread (fried ofcourse)

Malt vinegar is good on chips but clear vinegar for the rest
