Can't access the Mann Store

With the big update I had all sorts of things go goofy. RIght now I get a message that says I have to activate the Steam Community in Game, restart TF2 and try again. I never unchecked the box, can stil shift-tab to bring up chat (although I sometimes I have issues with the mouse not working) but no store. I've since checked and unchecked then rechecked the box to activate in game Steam, still no change. Updated my HUD on the offchance that was the problem, no luck. Any ideas?

I was trying to create some trades in tf2outpost today and it told me this when I tried to log on:

There was a problem trying to log you in. This generally happens when Steam's servers go down (which happens more often than you think). We'd recommend trying again, and if it fails then you might have to wait an hour or two before trying again. There's some debugging information below that might be useful if you're still having problems after a few hours. Use the contact form at the bottom of this page, and include the entire error code and message.

I'd say there's a good chance that these problems are related, and that it's something wrong on Valve's end.

Also worth noting, whenever I join a TF2 game, I get a message telling me that the transaction has timed out, even though I wasn't in the store at all.
