I named my strange scattergun "Existential Crisis"
I like to think that's what people have when they are eating a flurry of meatshots (especially heavies, I love circle strafing them as they spin up and spray wildly into the air).

I circlestrafed a pyro yesterday as medic for so long he got bored and walked away. The Domer wrote:I like to think that's what people have when they are eating a flurry of meatshots (especially heavies, I love circle strafing them as they spin up and spray wildly into the air).

Better then that is jumping on a heavy's head while he's in a corner and just crouching there. The Domer wrote:I named my strange scattergun "Existential Crisis"

Always the one-upsmanship with you crusty. Well one time I squaredanced a soldier into a SNIPER.Crusty Juggler wrote:I pyrostrafed a circle for so long yesterday, he turned into a medic.I am a mummy wrote:I circlestrafed a pyro yesterday as medic for so long he got bored and walked away. The Domer wrote:I like to think that's what people have when they are eating a flurry of meatshots (especially heavies, I love circle strafing them as they spin up and spray wildly into the air).

Kids these days.
Out and out lies! |SNES| is as metal as ville cup teams come.
...speaking of singing dolphins, my black box now contains a Douglas Adams reference.

Re: Renamed Items
This one's on the to-do list, as soon as I get some money for tags.
For the Backburner:
Fire consume my enemies,/Lambda Burst!
This references Skies of Arcadia; about halfway through the game, your main party member (Aika) gets the move "Lambda Burst" which I guarantee that from that point on you will use the move to sweep nearly every random encounter you run into. This move takes about 10 seconds to execute, but will usually handily deal with most cannon fodder in one turn. It also helps that she has the highest speed in the party so it often goes first.

Re: Renamed Items
Further going down Skies of Arcadia references:
Cow Mangler 5000
Moonstone CannonFire!
The Moonstone Cannon is a massive laser cannon prototype weapon that's heralded as one of the most powerful weapons in the game universe, armed on the Valuan prince Enrique's flagship which you end up commandeering about halfway through the game. Using it in ship-to-ship combat costs a lot and requires specific moments in the battle, but the weapon frequently deals well over 30,000 damage when your normal guns barely scratch 10,000.

Re: Renamed Items
I recently watched Steins;Gate, and it gave me an idea:
Cow Mangler 5000/Phlogistinator
"Phone Microwave (Name Subject to Change)"
"It's also a time machine! Who knew?
The plot of Steins;Gate kicks off when some teenagers hook up a cell phone to a microwave and discover a type of time travel. The main character, Okabe/"Okarin", always refers to it as "Phone Microwave (Name Subject to Change)" in full, which coincidentally is just short enough to actually be used as a custom name.
It also can disintegrate bananas, which is one of the reasons I'm thinking of putting it on a weapon that can disintegrate things.
And now for some Homestucks:
Big Earner
"Bait and Switchblade"
Knife
"Butterfly Effect Knife"
Claidheamh Mor
"Double-Edged Sword"
"Hate to chop all of your heads off with this sword. Real sorry about that. My bad."
All three of these are Spades Slick's weapons in the first intermission. The quote on the sword actually refers to his RAPIER WIT, but there isn't a rapier weapon in TF2.

"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Re: Renamed Items
Anyone who's played Earthbound should know exactly where I got this one:
Also, in eschew of the Lambda Burst on the backburner, I added this humble description:
If all else fails, use fire.
Ah the classics.
