Buying TF2

So lets pretend they actually release it. Is there gonna be some kinda pre-order thing? Who gets to download it first?

Maybe if we're one of the first few communities to have a TF2 server we can just hit the ground runnin and maybe later get 2 TF2 servers goin! One things for sure, our attitude and gameplay philosophy is definitly more "TFC/TF2-ish" if ya catch my drift...

Lets all have a moment of silence to give thanks to the videogame gods, and pay our respects cuz TeamFortress 2 is comin!!!! i hope

Yeah. Once the game launches, it would be nice to get a TF2 server up as quickly as possible. As there wont be too many servers up. Alot more people will play on it. And then have more members hopefully.

They may allow the server to be downloaded ahead of time, I seem to recall that happened in the past.....

But even if you have a server, nobody can connect until the game/client is actually out there.

I had planned on buying it through steam, but I will cruise the local stores to see if some dummy puts the orange box out on the shelves before the official release day, that way I can have it installed and ready to rock

Actually, I imagine they will allow us to pre download all the files and then we will have the content ready to go come the actual release day/time.

Ill get it where ever it comes out first at, idiot at store early release or off steam.

(Steam will break and we will all be screwed, so Im counting on the store)

Is there any doubt, Preach? We all have waited a VERY LONG time for this game. I think it's almost certain that the Ville is going to be TF2 crazy when it's released.
