I've been looking through my library of emulation recently and I notice just how many games there are that are that much more fun in multiplayer. There's a ton of older games I'd love to play multiplayer but given that i'm confined to my computer room without the means to go out and bring a SNES or whatever to someone, I can't do that. So I've been looking into emulators with netplay functions and I've found a few I want to try and maybe get some games going if they work. What i'm asking for is a guinea pig; someone who'd be willing to help me set up and get the netplay going, and perhaps stay for a game or two if they're interested. If this works, I might take it a step further.
Here's what I'm looking in to for now:
NES: JNES 1.1: http://www.jabosoft.com/categories/3
SNES: ZSNES 1.42: http://www.zsnes.com/index.php?page=files
--Requires Hamachi: https://secure.logmein.com/products/ham ... nload.aspx
Genesis: Fusion 3.64: http://segaretro.org/Kega_Fusion
Some games I'd be interested in playing for those who want to try:
NES:
Double Dragon 2
River City Ransom
Contra/Super C
Battletoads/Battletoads & Double Dragon
Tecmo Super Bowl
Life Force
SNES:
Super Mario Kart - Works!
TMNT 4: Turtles in Time - Works!
Tetris Attack
Smash TV - Desyncs
Ken Griffy Jr's Major League Baseball
Contra 3 - Works!
Super Bomberman 2 - Does not work.
Genesis
Battletoads
Golden Axe
Toejam & Earl
Marble Madness
NHL '94/'95
Let me know if you're interested and want to try this out.
EDIT: SNES netplay works with ZSNES 1.42 and Hamachi. Still need to test out NES and Genesis netplay.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.

This looks interesting, want to try Super Mario Cart on the SNES?

Fun, but I recommend using hamachi (Which Zork and I did) and getting a controller.

Re: Netplay Emulation
Good news everyone! ZSNES Netplay works! Knowing and I were able to play Mario Kart and TMNT, but we had to use a program called Hamachi to do it. No issues in terms of latency, though we did have a ROM crash on us specifically by attempting netplay (Super Bomberman 2). So yeah, if you want to get some SNES multiplayer going, we now know how to do it.

Re: Netplay Emulation
My best friend has done tons of emulation multiplayer in the past, and he did it directly through zsnes. I'll ask him about it, and if he knows any others.
