Due to budget cuts from the massive amount of resources needed for the new MeleeMania map which is to be released this month, the poster had to be sacrificed. But not to worry! MasterChef is a wizard at that MSPaint thingy.

Anyway...

This month is Demoman with Eyelanders!

Stuff you should know:

MeleeMania is Sunday, March 28th at 8PM Ville Time, TV10.
Deadline for signups is Thursday, March 25th. The bracket will be posted March, the 26th.
Un4Given, Gizanked, Stevo, and Jim Beam have automatic berths.
Measures will be taken to have players fight with an equal number of heads.
The Targin' Charge is not allowed during the fights.

Gimme French Fry!

Masa and I have put together one last Hoo-Ra for the game that brought many of us here.

This thread is for people to sign up to participate in a one day DoD 1.3 Ville Cup. The fun tournament will be held on Sunday March 21st starting at noon, ending about 5 PM. I am anticipating having 3 teams of 9-11 players.

Please indicate whether you'd like to sign up as a captain, player, or sub.

Maps/schedule

All games take place March 21st 2010, ville time.

Time : 12PM - 1PM
Teams : 1 vs. 3
Map: ???

Time : 1PM - 2PM
Teams : 1 vs. 2
Map : ???

Time :2PM - 3PM
Teams 2 vs. 3
Map: ???

3PM - 4PM - Intermission

Time : 4PM - 5PM
Teams : ???
Map : ???

Captains

Captains will be responsible for:

- Picking team
- Getting team on steam friends list together
- Taking end of round screen shots
- Communicating between refs and team
- Submitting team names and tags etc

Subs

We will be doing things like we did last time. Subs will be eligible to play on any team. Each team already has a couple of designated subs. But, If you signed up as a sub, you may be called on by any of the three teams to sit in as to help field a full team of 9 if need be. This will be as a last resort, hopefully we will not have to take this course of action. I would like to ensure full teams throughout the entire tournament. More than 9 players per team is allowed as long as teams are even and the arrangements are made with a referee before the start of a round.

Purple Heart Award

TheVille is proud to announce the newest recipient of the illustrious Purple Heart Award! The Purple Heart Award is the highest honor TheVille can bestow and is awarded to individuals who time and time again go above and beyond for our community in every aspect imaginable.

It is with the greatest pleasure that we hand out this award today, it has been a long time coming. For the many years of service, fun and friendship, our community has received, TheVille proudly awards John Doe the Purple Heart Award. From the early days of TheVille's creation to where we are now, JD has been here all the while playing a part. His contributions to this community over the years are simply too vast to mention. He is one of the most respected individuals in this community, yet one of the most humble you will ever meet. For countless numbers of us, JD was the first person to befriend us here and we stayed. . .some for years. His humor, sincerity and laid back demeanor make him instantly likeable. . .he has never changed. If you had to sum up TheVille in one single member, JD's mustache would be it.

Thank you JD, for being a wonderful friend throughout the years, for all you have done and continue to do here. This purple paradise is what it is because of you.
